Dallas Mavericks 2023 Record

Dallas Mavericks 2023 Postseason Preview

Impressive Season Despite 11th Place Finish

Despite finishing 11th in the Western Conference with a 38-44 record, the Dallas Mavericks had an impressive 2022-23 regular season. The team ranked 5th in the Western Conference with a 50-32 record.

The Mavericks' success was due in part to the play of their young stars, Luka Dončić and Jalen Brunson. Dončić averaged 27.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game, while Brunson averaged 16.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game.

The Mavericks also benefited from the addition of Christian Wood, who averaged 18.4 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. Wood provided the Mavericks with a much-needed inside presence, and he helped to take some of the pressure off of Dončić.

Despite their impressive regular season, the Mavericks struggled in the playoffs. They were eliminated in the first round by the Golden State Warriors in five games.

The Mavericks will be looking to bounce back from their playoff disappointment next season. They will have a lot of talent returning, and they should be in contention for a playoff spot once again.
